How to fax a PO

Apr 20, 2005 4 Replies

Hello

I was wondering if i can simply fax a Purchase order directly from the Manager program? I have 56k modem connected and i recieve all my fax on the computer through the fax console program in windows xp.

currently what i do is I print the po out. then i fax it using my fax machine and then throw away the papaer.

Plus is it possible that the Manager program automatically faxes the po to the supplier's fax number instead of me typing it in? thanx in advance

I think that the reply is no..

With fax software such as WinFax or the MS Fax in Win2k/XP, you will have a "printer" for the fax device. When you send a print job to this "fax printer", the fax interface comes up asking for the number to send to.

You said you're already using the fax console in XP, so I'm not sure why you don't already have the fax printer installed.

you can turn the PO into a pdf document, would this be useful to you? do a search of this forum for 'PDF995' and you will see what I'm talking about - I use it to convert receipts, statements, POs, etc to pdf documents, in order to email them
