HQ and store sale in accurate

Dec 23, 2007 3 Replies

It seems that starting the 15th of the month sales reports in 1 of our 2 stores were showing blank lines (descriptions and upc codes missing). It appeared as if the employees had been entering a price only and not scanning the items. As I looked further into this, the X reports matched the sales stats at the store. But HQ shows many blank lines of sales that do not exist or did not happen. So now the HQ sales totals are off by around $3000.00. Has anyone seen this before? Does anyone know how to resolve it? This is from 1 store only!

Thanks in advance lax guy

Just negate the sales by entering a blank line and a negative sale amount. Then ring up the sales properly. If you don't know te items that were sold, that might be a problem for you, but you can just create a non-inventory item to represent the sales.

I recommend you do this on a seperate batch (Z before and Z after so you can go bakc later and find exactly what you did to resolve it.)

If you want the dates to be correct, back-date the POS computer while you accomplish this (remember to change data back later). Then do a 401 from HQ backdated before the date in question.

This should fix your HQ sales reports to match your store's sales reports and batch closing information.

Do your stores have the ability to Add, Copy or Edit your skus?
