I've been wondering, is there a way to have each of your stores upload information more than once an hour? Secondly, does anyone here use a VPN to connect to the HQ database for uploads and downloads? If so, do you use the windows XP VPN software, or do you use something else?
Yes - Change the schedule. Check help files - pretty straightforward.
Regarding VPN, I have a Netgear FVS318 at HQ and 6 locations. All are connected using VPN connections with no software required. It works great.
