Inactive Item

For an unknown reason, some of our items that are marked as inactive are able to be pulled up at the POS without receiving any warnings. Other inactive items trigger a warning when the item is pulled up.

The only difference that I can see between the items is that the ones that are not triggering the warning have a taxable value equal to 1 in the items database. Do I need to set this to 0? Why would this matter?

Thanks, Mike

Jeff,

Thanks for the response, but this doesn't seem to matter. Everything is checked the same between these items, yet some give you a warning and some do not. The store manager is concerned about erronous sales of these items since they are able to be rung up.

When they make an item inactive, they check the boxes "Item is inactive", "May not be placed on purchase orders", and "Block the sales of this item". For some reason, some of these items warn you if rung up at POS and some don't.
