Please note ! I have setup a RMS 1.3.1006 without any integration with Merchant processor or any third party bank application..Plain RMS 1.3.1006 running in Windows XP Professional edition..
Have you tried doing a bill worth 298,593.95 and it will be paid in any credit card available as a payment type?
Well, if you havn't please try testing this in a test environment.. See if this error message comes " Cannot authorize more than $99,999.99 on a credit/debit card"...
Like I said, this is plain RMS 1.3.1006 installation no other third party software attached to validate any of my credit card payment.
Please let me know any solution for this error...
Thanks in advance for your help :)

YES this is a BUG. Though there is a way around it see this attachment from a previous discussio I was having with RMS Support = = I actually was testing this out again on my install and found some issues. A while ago, I already have my EDC settings to be turned off. So I was able to see the Credit Card Verification window and not get the error message. I then changed it to use Preferred Acquirer. I got the error message. Then, I changed it back to not to use EDC verification. This time, I still got the error. But when I changed to PCCharge first and then not to use EDC, the error was gone. = Afshin Alikhani - [ snipped-for-privacy@retailrealm.co.uk ] CEO - Retail Realm = = = = = = = = = = So I'm thingking, if you:
Change directly from Preferred Acquirer to not to use EDC, the error message will appear. (Looks like the setting, Preferred Acquirer sticked).
BUT if you change from Preferred Acquirer to PCCharge click OK, re-launch POS, go back to Administrator and then change it from PCCharge to not to use EDC click OK, re-launch POS, the error will dissapear.
There must be a problem with RMS not saving the setting if the change was directly from Preferred acquirer into Do not use EDC. There is no HotFix for this yet.
Plan:
For the moment, you can try changing it to any EDC software first and then change it to Do not use EDC. I will be sending this to our development team for further investigation. I will then update you tomorrow if not today for any progress.
