Logic Controls Pole Display

I am installing a Logic Controls PD3000 Pole Display. When I installed it, it used COM5. Microsoft RMS OPOS will only see COM ports 1-4.

Logic Controls tech support wants me to go back to system restore point to reinstall the display. Anyone know of another way to change the com port?

Is it a Serial or USB display? If it's USB, then you need to re-configure the drivers (which may not be possible, they may just use the first available port #). If it's Serial, you need to re-assign that port #. Or move the display to a different port.

Assign it COM1, delete the 1 and enter a 5.

RMS allow you to enter the COM port name directly into the "port" box. Instead of clicking on the triangle to select from the pull-down, click on the text box and type in "COM5".
