Pole Display PD3000 Logic Control

We have the Logic Control PD3000 pole display which was listed on the RMS supported hardware list. However, we are not able to get it to work, probably we are missing the right OPUS driver. Any suggestions ? (The exact model we have is PD3000U which is the USB version). Thank you.

I am not an expert, but just encountered the same problem (also just purchased the PD3000U with RMS). I just spoke to Logic Controls tech support and apparently I had the wrong driver installed. My system is now connected correctly to the pole display, but I still can't get it to work with RMS. Let me know if you have any pointers after you've followed the steps below - I must be overlooking something pretty simple...

Look in your device manager under USB and you should see something like LCI Line Display. Right click and uninstall. It'll try to reinstall automatically. Don't do that, just disconnect the USB plug from the PC. Then go to your C drive and delete the LCI Display folder. Put in your install CD and go to USB -> Windows and select Setup. Select the Virtual Com Port option and install. Then plug the USB back into the PC. Now comes the part that they don't make clear in their manual: When the system recognizes the new device, DON'T install automatically, but browse to C: -> LCI Line Display folder and go to WinXP. You can install the driver from there. My setup asked for another file and you just got to point it to the same folder.

I tested the system with their tech after that and I can communicate with the pole display through the Hyperterminal in Windows, but for some reason my RMS message still doesn't show. Their techs didn't seem very knowledgable about RMS so any help here would be much appreciated... You are supposed to set the pole display up in the OPOS Service Objects and set them to the right COM port (you can look that up in the Device Manager). Then set it up in RMS, but still couldn't get it to work?

Good luck,
