hi, in a recent post someone toldme that serial pole is better than usb. we are going to open a new store and i wish to know what equipement (pole, drawer, printer) are the best in order to have a more reliable system.... in the current store we have problems with pole logic usb display....

thanks in advance for the advicing!

Aldo,

I think they all suck after I saw and setup a so-called Net Display. Add a second monitor to your system to display the receipt while also sending advertising, movies, animations, slide shows, etc. on the same monitor.

Costs about $75 more than a pole display. Your prices may vary.

do you know people who have a 2nd monitor on their store for display the recipt info and advertising?

Tons of stores do! Next time you visit your local grocery, pay attention...

30% chance says they have a 2nd monitor.

Let me teach you the trick on this one. Since you are opening a new store, do it right. Build a custom countertop that integrates a flatpanel facing the customer. They won't even know it's just a normal monitor, because all they will see is the screen section. They will think you spent $5,000 on something that costs $300.

Good luck with the new store.
