Multiple Copies of Store Operations on a Single System

We have one store, but we also have an offsite warehouse. Currently we are using a single copy of RMS Store Operations to manage our business. We have tried to use the offline inventory function in RMS to track stock at the warehouse. This is not working very well, in part because when we transfer inventory from offline to the store, we have to transfer all of the inventory or none of it, which is not what actually happens (we might transfer one or two of something, rather than all of it).

In addition to the warehouse inventory, we want to track our store display inventory separately from the sealed box product in the store and the warehouse. We have tried creating separate inventory items for the display product (by adding "D" to the standard SKU for display inventory), but the process is very cumbersome and error prone.

We would like to be able to see the inventory from all three "locations" (store stock, warehouse stock, display stock) on our reports. It looks like we will need the Headquarters module of RMS to accomplish this.

It also looks like we will need to purchase two more Store Operations programs to handle the warehouse and display inventory. I know that it is possible to have both Store Operations and Headquarters on the same system. What about multiple copies of Store Operations? We would like to have access to all three locations from our store network. We do not have any computers (or people) at the small offsite warehouse. Can RMS be configured to allow multiple copies of Store Operations on the same network or are there problems with dongles, data paths, etc.?

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

You can also try the Retail Realm Multi Location Module. If you want a demo let me know.
