Offline Credit Card Logging

Our ISP just informed us that one of our stores is going to be without internet for all of today and possibly tomorrow. Is there any way to get RMS to store VISA/Mastercard transactions until we have connectivity again, then process them en masse?

We're using the RMS-TD Bridge from TD Canada Trust for our credit card processing

I've never heard of the RMS-TD Bridge before, nor seen it posted here. I'd recommend contacting your reseller or TD Canada Trust for help with this one.

IF you are using the EDC tools built into RMS, the procedure is to call the bank for manual verification on each transaction. They will give you an approval code. In the Credit Card Info screen in RMS, BEFORE you swipe the card, enter the approval code. RMS will send the transaction straight to the EDC batch without verification (since you already have that from the bank). When your connection is back up, you can use Settle EDC Batch in SO Manager as normal.

Again - I've never heard of this RMS-TD Bridge you are referring to, so you definitely want to back check that!

I will experiencing a similar situation over the weekend (server maintenance will be taking out our Internet connection for a while). What happens if the cashier forgets and they swipe the card without typing in the voice authorization code first?

Two other questions regarding offline credit card transactions: Do I need to change the settings on my Store Ops Admin / Configuration / EDC tab to disable the electronic draft capture software? Do I need to change my Visa, MAsterCard, and American Express tender types at all, possibly unchecking the "perform verification" checkbox on the Verification tab?
