Print a receipt for a transaction you want to place on hold

I want to print a receipt for a transaction I will put on hold.

It seems MPOS only prints receipts when they are tendered, and I run a cafe where a customer would like a receipt before the tender is completed. How do I accomplish this?

Can MPOS print a credit card slip for transactions on hold? Is there a credit card slip that includes a gratuity line for a cafe?

My retail store has a cafe, so I need two registers with standard receipts and one with a restaraunt format.

Thanks,

Dave.

Instead of putting the transaction ON HOLD...why don't you save it as a WORK ORDER? You will then be prompted to print a receipt.

Then when the customer comes back up, you recall (F11) their Work Order then tender it.

You can save it to a Work order without tendering any $$ by setting the FILE|Configuration|ordering Tab

to Work Order Deposit $0.

I implemented this for a friend. Works great. You can use Shift-F9 to add a comment and the cashier enters the table number. Get the comment to print on the receipt.

Then you can pull up the work order and add items as the customers order more (like drinks). You can reprint the work order after each change, so you can put the current tab on the table if you want. When the customer cashes out, pull up the work order, "pick up" all items, and tender the sale. Receipt prints. Yee haw! No worries.
