Receipt Full Page with Logo

What is the best file format to use for logo receipt?

I'm using a 5.5x8.5 (half page) receipt that's based on the Full Page Invoice template from CustomerSource. My logo file is a 2100x700 .jpg and it looks great--no pixelation.

FWIW, I'm using Windows drivers, not OPOS.

If the image is properly sized, I don't think that the file format will make much difference. If you force RMS to scale an image that is substantially over/under-sized, image quality will suffer.

JPEG responds well with Windows, but it looks really brutal with the OPOS.

Have you tried the watermark with yours yet? I have not, but I hear they are great.

If you mean the 'DUPLICATE RECEIPT' watermark that's optional when reprinting from the Journal, yes I have. Works great. I haven't tried using a large watermark logo or anything like that.

For anyone with a full-page invoice, Windows printing offers a lot of advantages over OPOS. OPOS is for dedicated receipt printers, IMO.

I think the watermark can be used for all 40-col receipts. I would like to try to test this out sometime, but just have not.

We have the stores using OPOS for their 40-col and then Windows for their Receipt Printer 2 option for the full pages.

You do a lot of invoicing, right? I am just guessing from previous posts. This is a feature that I have never worked with in the past from a store RMS level (only GP in a HQ situation), but I am trying to wrap my head around that. And billing too.

Well, I don't know what qualifies as a lot, but we have four stores. Two use a three-part invoice and the others a four-part. Almost every sale is a work order first and lots of them are special orders that are updated at least once before being invoiced.

My local printer was able to source pre-collated bond for me in 5.5x8.5 with a two-hole end punch that is exactly the same size as the old carbonless invoice forms we used to have.

I modified my own receipt template and have it printing the Order Comment and Order Due Date (when present), the characters M Tu W Th F S in the block between the body and the footer for circling the delivery day (good for a visual reminder) and Printing the Order Number on finalized Transactions for future reference.

Since everything I do is with full-sized laser printers, the Windows vs. OPOS question was a no-brainer. I am presently looking for a better printer. I think I'm overworking the Brother HL-5140s I've been using.
