RMS POS Crashes Before Printing Receipt

I just wanted to briefly revisit this issue since we believe we found a real resolution today. We were using serial add-in cards on our Dell Optiplex computers running RMS. When we removed the add-in cards the issue disappeared.

I don't know that this will apply to everyone and this is probably a case by case issue, but I would very much recommend trying this if it is something that you're experiencing. I asked MS to theorize how the two could be related but their guess was no better than mine.

Service Pack 3 for RMS which is 2.0.0126 resolves a problem with a ADO Connection on WinXP SP3 and other operating systems. my customers that were experiencing their software to lock up during tender has not experienced any further problems since ive updated their software to version 2.0.0128. its been about 2 months now and no crashes. im keeping my fingers crossed.
