Hi Below are a few things that RMS needs changed/added, especially for the EMEA market.
- RMS needs to be able to calculate and print the price per KG or Litre on labels. It is a legal requirement now in Ireland to give these prices on labels for each product so as the customer can identify the value they are getting if they buy larger items.
- There should be a field in the cashiers table which holds their DOB. It is a legal requirement that alcohol cannot be sold by someone under 18, so if the cashiers DOB is stored, then you can mark certain categories which would mean the POS refuses to sell these items when a particular cashier is logged on.
- Is there any chance of a "Floating Cashiers" module being developed. What this means that each cashier has their own cash drawer insert which they can move from POS to POS, this would then be balanced by RMS no matter which POS they were signed into.
- If receipts are put on hold there is no way of knowing who did this, I cannot believe that a cashier somewhere is not using this for fraud. They can simply take the money from the customer without giving them a receipt (you'd be surprised how many customers don't think of asking for one) and then put the transaction on hold, pocketing the money. The store owner needs to know who has put a certain transaction on hold.
- Quotes can also be open to fraud as in point 4. These are even worse as they do print what the customer may think is a receipt.
- You should not be able to discount below cost price, or at least there should be an option allowing you to turn this off/on as applicable.
- Lower bound price defaults to 0. This doesnt actually mean 0 as you can discount below 0.
