Shipping from POS

Mar 02, 2006 8 Replies

I enter an item in POS and then hit SHIFT + F1 for the shipping amount. I override the default and enter the amount. I then tender the transaction and all is well.

Now I want to view a monthly report in Store Ops of all my monthly shipping charges. I go under reports > miscellanous > Shipping log and do a report and it comes up blank. I even tried to do a pending shipping report and nothing shows up.

What am I doing wrong? When I get a web order in I ring it up like a normal item being sold in the store but I add the shipping charge. I just want a monthly report of shipping expenses.

I would like to be able to do this to. Anyone have any answers?

Rick & Jim,

You need to tell RMS that it has been shipped as described in the Help file.

Ctrl + Shift + F8 and mark each as processed in its properties

For totals, look either at the Z or ZZ report or if looking at the Shipping Log, click once on the Grouping button, second from the left. Top line gives totals for the report.

You might look at ShipRush from ZFirm for better options

When I hit Ctrl + Shift + F8 to mark each as processed, my list is blank.

We've been overwriting the shipping default like Jeff for months but can find no report to tell us what shipping money we've collected. Please help!

Daniela,

Do you have any shipping carriers in the program? Manager | Database | Shipping Carriers

If not, that maybe you're problem.

Hi Jeff, Yes I have carriers. We may not use them all the time, but I just did a test transaction pulling down UPS as the carrier. Still nothing in the pending shipping log or the processed shipping log.

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I just heard that if you override the shipping amount, the shipping total is not stored in the shipping table, so maybe that's why it doesn't appear on any report.

When you try and void a transacti> Hi Jeff,

is it override, or when shipping amount = 0.00
