Symbol MC50 Scanning barcodes

The scanner (via 2b-inventory) is not able to scan the barcode on labels created in RMS. The item barcode is set as 2 of 5 (I don't think this is used), and the instruction to the blaster printer is BARCODE CODE128A 10 140

50 . It prints 1 x 2.4 label, and the barcode is small. However, the POS scanner (Voyager MS9520) picks it up very quickly. How can I get the MC50 to pick it up? It is very important, as I have many items that will not have any other identification other than the barcode label.
