2-convert the VB code to an SQL function 3-create a trigger to update [Transaction].Comment with value returned from the function 4-print Transaction.Comment on the receipt

I know that this is not easy, but it might help you till someone else posts a more helpful way to do it

there is a standard string you can use in the xml receipt design · VbCurrencyWords . value written as words, eg $10.52 = "Ten dollars and Fifty-Two cents"

Hummmm you are correct. It seems that Microsoft has hardcoded the VB string with Dollars and Cents rather than using the default currency from window. I have asked my programmers to look into this. We should be able to do a small mod that can pass the string in words using correct currency to the session object. Will keep you updated.

To do the amount in words we will have to create a dll and then insert that logic in the receipt. We had done a similar project a couple of years ago to do that in Spanish. This is a 10 days development project to do it right. Contact me if you wish us to do this. But this would be a chargeable project.
