I thought sql was able to let a network terminal (till) keep selling and then update the server when the connection was re-established. Where is the setting for this feature? Thanks in advance.

jd,
Has nothing to do with SQL, you need to setup the Offline mode properly.
Install MSDE on each register machine | go into SO Admin and set it up
SO Admin | Help | Offline tab section describes the process.
Jeff, This might be a dumb question. If I already have the MSDE and SQL DB up and running, do I need to reinstall to get to the offline mode? I haven't had any connection problems up to now (4 months), but I don't want to take any chances.
Thanks

Zoo,
If you installed MSDE on the register machines initially, no, you just have to configure it in SO Admin.
If you didn't, it depends on the version you are running. The 1.2 disk could install MSDE only by going into the MSDE folder and double clicking on the InstallMSDE.bat.
The 1.3 version is broke or doesn't have it as I remember. I'll have to look at the 1.3R to see if they put it back.
Otherwise, just re-install RMS and when it asks to install the MSDE, don't press the Skip button.
