Work Order Add-in

Looking for a service order module for the following:

We would use it to create a new work order for when a customer brings in a computer to work on. The work order module would allow us to type in notes as to what is wrong with the computer. It would also allow us to input information about the computer, i.e. make of computer, desktop or notebook, speed of computer, operating system installed. Also, should be an area to input any items that were dropped off. Should be able to generate a receipt for the computer that would be used when picking up the computer.

For work flow, should allow a place for techs to input the work they've done and any results or comments on what further to try (which would not appear on the final invoice). Should allow for adding inventory for items needed to repair or upgrade the computer. Should be able to add look-up codes for predefined services. When finished and the system is picked up it and paid for it should allow printing a std receipt using the 2.5" receipt printer, or, being able to print a full page report to include all the information about the customer, computer, parts & services, and optionally to include tech notes.

Also, techs should be able to bring up the jobs module by going into either the POS or preferrably the RMS management module (or maybe a separate icon) on any store computer to input work-in-progress notes.

Obviously should be able to pull up a customer's service work 3 months or 3 years later to review work done on their computer.

Anybody know of something like the above that would work?

We have outlined such a development but the customer at the last minute decided to do this manually and cancelled the development project. If you have a development budget let me know and I will send you the workflow diagram for a proper repair and warranty module.

I'm not looking to develop one, we're a small computer store. I was hoping that this module had already been developed and was available to purchase for a couple hundred.

I'm not using any software for tracking service work as I haven't found any that integrates with RMS. Right now we're writing everything up on a service order and giving the customer a copy when done and saving a copy for ourselves.

Maybe Afshin will develop one if there is enough interest.

I have been developing an extended work order add-in for RMS over the last year. We're very close to completion, but it's taking much longer than anticipated since I'm not a full-time developer; I also have RMS customers to support.
