Is their a way to create a drop down in the check register for entering Debit Card, ATM, Dep, or Check Number in the number type column?

I'm sure the program developers at Intuit have the necessary software tools to accomplish the task if they had to.
In QB 2005 there is a drop down in the check register that can be "editted/customized" for the number. My copy includes next num, EFT, ATM, DEP, Transfer
Sorry that was Quicken 2005. Misread the question.
try typing the letters "a" through "z" in the number field and try "+" and "-" as well. see if that might meet your needs.
