Help. I have a new computer and re-installed QB Basic 2004 and a webpatch. I have disabled McAfee and followed all the troubleshooting instructions, but am still not able to update payroll. I keep getting error 12029 when I try to update the payroll files. I also use Direct Deposit so just getting a CD sent is not a good option because my employees would not be happy going back to printed paychecks. QB Tech support mentioned I might need to do something with a firewall, but my MS Windows firewall is not enabled. I have DSL internet connection... I wonder if that's a possibility. Any ideas would be most appreciated. This problem does not happen on my old computer with identical company info. Thanks Charlotte
