Fixed Asset Accounting Manager

We currently need a Fixed Asset Accounting Manager role in our Monterey Park facility.

Responsibilities Include: Manage Fixed Asset Department of Union Bank of California including all functions of the Fixed Asset System. Ensure compliance to SOX and UBOC on capitalization thresholds, depreciation methods and conventions pertinent to all assets to be capitalized including Software and S/W Development. To be certain all Fixed Asset processing is completed in a timely manner. Certify all FA accounts and reconciled monthly including Construction in Progress (Software Development). Perform analysis and participate in projects as directed by Manager. Manage a staff of 2 employees including their training and performance.

Requirements Include: Experience with Fixed Asset Systems (GEAC) and Fixed Asset Accounting. 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Require strong organizational, oral and communication skills. proficient with MS Excel functions while MS Access would be helpful. Interface with auditors is a must. Accounting Degree required and public accounting experience helpful. GEAC System Experience and FAS System Experience preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills: Prefer Candidates with extensive Fixed Asset Systems, system skills and knowledge of Accounts Payable system. Candidate needs to be confident in working with management at all levels and ability to work closely with auditors with clear and concise information.
