Flash Drive Storage Issue Resolved

Nov 22, 2006 3 Replies

On Nov. 11 I posted a note regarding my inability to make QB backups to two

1.0GB flash drives.

Memorex tech support solved my problem. I had exceeded the number of files the root directory could accommodate. I deleted couple files, then created a new directory on the flash drive and I was back in business with QB backups to my two flash drives.

Thanks much to those kind folks who responded to my problem.

And thanks to Memorex! I still haven't heard back from SanDisk.

Best regards, Bill E.

Could you elaborate a little, just in case I ...

For FAT and FAT32, the maximum number of files and folders in the root directory is 512. This maximum can be less if you use long filenames.
