Historical Data

I recently moved from Quicken to Quickbooks and imported the data (Despite warning to the contrary)

My previous paychecks to my employees now appear as checks with account deductions instead of true pay checks. Is there any way to convert them to historical paychecks

Well I just got QB and have made some payroll payments for 2006. They were imported as regular checks and I need to coner them. I do not mind doing it manually but as a newbie I am not sure what to do about the prevoius check. Show I handle it as historical paycheck and if i do how will it effect my checkbook balnace. Pehaps it is better to pretend it wasn't written and write it and then delete the cleared check and clear this check.

Not sure if i made my self clear. Been on hold with Intuit for the last half hour. I should pay you instead of them...you are aa lot quicker (and prpbably smarter) and you don't put me on hold

TIA

You did not mention if you will be using QuickBooks to prepare your payroll. Are you?

Then go to payroll setup and follow each step. When you enter payroll history the user has the option of not effecting the general ledger.
