prepay memorized bills

I use QB Pro 4 for my small company. I have some memorized monthly bills but am going on vacation this summer and need to prepay them.

I can't find any information on how this should be done.

I appreciate all suggestions on the best way to handle this

Thanks

Two methods:

  1. Record all the bills in advance, then pay them.

  1. "Write checks" (NOT "pay bills") to the vendors, selecting Accounts Payable on the "Expenses" tab of the check. Later, when the bills have been entered, go to Pay Bills and pay each of them by "Set Credit".

If one of these methods doesn't work for you because you are using the Mac version, be sure to tell us.

Many banks offer online bill pay. If your bank does, you may be able to schedule them from within QB. It is not a free service.

You may be able to schedule EFT payments directly with the vendors. Many major credit cards have websites with payment scheduling possibilities.

Alternatively, you may just have to send out early checks.

If you will be prepaying by sending checks early then I'd recommend cancelling the automatic entry of memorized bills for the time being and record the checks individually noting the bill/month they are paying. When you return from vacation reactivate the automatic entry of those bills.

Hi

Edit your memorized transactions by going to Lists> Memorized transaction list. In the 'Next Date' field change the date to one month later. Do it for every memorized transaction. As for the current month bills, write individual check for them.
