Print Single Check

With the help of Jason at Quickbooks support, we figured out the solution to a problem that a lot of people seem to have encountered. To print a single check, go to File>Print Forms>Checks (note: do not go to File>Printer Setup). On the Settings tab at bottom right there is a box for "Checks on 1st page" (default value should be 3). Change the value to "1". Then go to the "Partial Page" tab and select the appropriate "Partial Page Printing Style". Then click the "Print" button. You will be presented a box asking to indicate whether your single check has the tear-off strip attached. Answer as appropriate, and your job will go to the printer (so be sure the check is already loaded in the envelope feeder). You can test the configuration with a normal sheet from the tray.
