QB 6 NUE Mac won't give "Record" button in accounts! Help!

Jul 20, 2006 2 Replies

Hello,

I know I'm a couple of generations behind, but I'm starting a business and want to at least make a stab at doing the accounting right. So, I cracked open the New User Edition of QuickBooks that came with my

2004 PowerMac G5 and loaded it up with the company info.

Problem is that when I go into the Chart of Accounts, and Use a Register, and I make an entry, it never gives me the "Record" button (it's always grayed out). If I click and close the entry, it reminds me that I haven't saved it, asks me if I want to, and when I say yes, it saves it just fine. What gives?

Thanks!

Todd

Its a seriously flawed version of the program. QB 2006 for Mac is better by a long shot. The latter still can't compete with the Windows versions but unless you're willing to buy an Intel Mac or a Windows box for Quickbooks you'll do fine with 2006 for a while. You'll have nothing but massive headaches with NUE because its a piece of junk.

Cripple ware.
