You were smart enough to find this newsgroup, you should also be smart enough to READ the threads from the past few weeks before blindly posting the SAME question.............for about the sixth time. I suggest you look at the information already posted.........now.
Ken, maybe you shouldn't be so arrogant and condescending. I did read the other postings, as well as searched the Intuit site and Microsoft sites. The fixes that are published do not apply to the product that I identified, which is a Quicken 2006 edition. If you have helpful information to provide in the cooperative spirit of this newsgroup, I would appreciate reading it. If you have a bug up your ass, take it elsewhere.

Sorry you took offense. Maybe you should describe your situation a little more accurately.
The information in your message contained NO CLUE that you had tried to find an answer. Quite to the contrary, in fact.
And one of those messages you claim to have read clearly stated that they had a fix ONLY for '07 and '08...........and other posts indicate that it didn't even work on those versions for everybody.
Intuit's FAQ for this problem can be found at:

Jeff,
They added where you can download the new help files now. The "One step Update" didn't work for me for 2007 dlx, but downloading the help file worked. They added the download option yesterday.
In case you have Vista and did the download yesterday (Thusrday) instead of today. The Vista download program downloaded the files in the wrong directory. I reported the bug to them yesterday, and they said they fixed it now so it downloads into the right directory. I manually copied the files from the wrong directory to the correct directory to get it to work. Here is what I reported:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "I downloaded the 2007 Zip file and than ran it. It unzipped Vista & XP programs. I ran the Vista version (QW2007-bdph-help_Vista.exe).
It created a directory named C:\Program Data\Intuit\Quicken\help and put the files there. But, the directory should be:
C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Quicken\help
No space between "Program" and "Data". I manually copied the 2 files it put in that directory to the correct directory and my Q2007 help works."

Here's a workaround while you're waiting (see post #2).
John, what a fantastically elegant solution! Thank you. Intuit's fix will still be necessary for the search and convenience and context functions, but, in the meantime, the workaround unlocks the door. Excellent find!
JN
I'm glad it worked for you.
I just want to make sure that anyone who finds it useful gives credit to the person (at the quoted link) who posted the workaround - not me.
I too was happy to see such a nice workaround ... even though I didn't need it.
