QM Mac-PC

I use QB 2005 Pro on my PC. A friend asked me to look over work done on his Mac QB Pro version 4.0.

Can I load a Mac .QBB backup into my PC and restore it?

If not, is there any other way I can review at his QB data on my PC? I suppose he could create reports, PDF or Excel them and email or transfer them to me, but life is far too short.

Not to my knowledge since QB Mac didn't come up with the ability to create a Windows backup file until version 6.0 IIRC. The backup made by QB Mac in older versions isn't the same .qbb Windows uses/makes.

Now if your friend upgrades to Mac version 2005 or 2006 he/she will be able to give you a file readable by Windows, otherwise......

Mac 4.0?!! ::palmface::

Tell your friend to buy a new Intel iMac, get bootcamp, and a PC version.

Oh, the will also need a current >=6.0 Mac version to convert their data.

4.0!! that version had Y2K bugs in it!
