Quick book 2002 installed on Vista

Hi I wonder if anyone could help please? I have installed QB2002 on Visa but I cannot seem to back up any of my data.

I have read endless reports on this and it would seem that QB2002 is not really compatable with Vista, is this the case?

I would upgrade to 2008 but I did not instal 2002 under administrator mode as it is only myself and my husband using it so did not think that I needed passwords etc, but now it seems that I cannot transfer any customer data because it is not run in administrator mode.

I really am at a loss of what to do or where to go from here and am extremely worried that if my laptop fails, I will loose all company data.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all please, I am not a computer buff so if you could answer in very simple terms, I would very much appreciate this.

Thanks very much

QB 2002 might run under Vista but why use a program that has not been supported since 2005?

One option would be to install 2008 on your computer. Just install it to a separate directory on your hard drive. You may need to install in admin mode. You'll need the codes your husband received from Intuit when he registered his program.

Better yet, look for a deal for 2010 Pro. 2011 will be out sometime this fall and we've been seeing deals at Staples, Office depot, etc for around $100. Note: 2008 will only be supported until next May.
