Quickbooks 2003->2006: will no longer download Citibank credit card transactions

Jun 07, 2006 1 Replies

I have been running Quickbooks 2003 and downloading American Express and Citibank credit card transactions for many months. Starting yesterday, I received a message stating that Q2003 no longer will download Citibank credit card transactions after 4/30, and an upgrade to Q2006 is required to keep on downloading.

I upgraded to Q2006 and still get the same message about Q2003, regardless of the fact that I am now running Q2006. (The computer I am using never even had Q2003 installed, I did a fresh installation of Q2006 on that particular computer.) I did an online update, installed some updates, and rebooted a few times. I still get the same message.

Query: what can I do to enable downloads? It would be a hassle to enter all the credit card transactions manually. Thanks.

Do I have this order correct, you ignored the warning messages starting several months ago that you would need to upgrade and didn't.

Then you got locked out because you hadn't upgraded, thus setting the don't allow this customer to download flag on the CitiBank server.

Then you upgraded to 2006 and didn't call CitiBank to clear the flag on their server allowing you to download?

Do I have that sequence correct?

It's a CitiBank problem and may be specific to your account.
