QuickBooks 2006 on Vista - One problem

May 28, 2006 10 Replies

Okay,

Running Vista Beta 2, which I know isn't officially supported by Intuit. However, QuickBooks is working just fine so far, with just one things wrong. I can't access anything online. No banking, updates, etc. I just get an error message:

Error Code 67108890

Any thoughts on how I might fix this?

Wait for Vista to come out around 2008 and QB 2008. In the mean time I will devote much of my time to this problem because I know how important it is.

Can't get QB06 running at all on beta2 here. Plus, it hoses my QB06 install on the XP partition. As Allan said, we will most likely be required to buy a Vista version of QB when Vista is released much earlier than 2008.

I have full confidence that the final release of Vista will support programs like QB 2006.

Hopefully so. Have you heard something specific upon which you base your confidence?

Alex

Yes, everyone I know told me that if Vista does not run software that now runs on Windows XP SP2 they will not purchase the product. I believe them all.

Except for stupidity why on earth would anyone run alpha or beta programs on a PC that is for business use.

Greg

They are projecting it to be released in early 2007, and while they may have to push that back some, it's doubtful that they would fall behind by an entire year.
