Quickbooks Timer

Wanted to see if any of you use the Quickbooks Timer. I'm running Quickbooks Premier Accountant Edition 2004 for my clients. I work on several different files each day and I know I'm not tracking ALL the billable time for each client. So, is there any way I can pull up MY QB file (for my business), start the time, then go into another file and begin working? I don't think this will work because if I open the timer in my own file, it closes when I open another company file for another client.

If any you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Sandi-Unless your version of QB is different, then I don't think that would work. I use a program called PC-Time Clock and have for several years. It might serve your purpose. It is a simple program and works very well for me. When checking on the website for you, I noticed there is a new version. The version I use is the original one, but I think I will upgrade!
