Restore from multiple backup files?

I have a client without online access from the computer that has QuickBooks. She backed up to 3.5" diskettes and them emailed me the four separate backup files. Is it possible for me to restore the files?

Thanks, Mike

Do you have a 3.5 drive on your workstation? Why are you asking us? Did you try to restore?

Why wouldn't I ask for help restoring a QuickBooks file in a QuickBooks group??

No, I did not have a 3.5" drive and ended up borrowing one from my IT department. It turns out putting each file onto a separate diskette worked. I had hoped there would have been some way to do it off the hard drive. And, yes, I had already tried restoring from the hard drive.

Your first post did not indicate that you even tried to restore. One should try first then ask why it did not work.

The above is even more confusing. If the backup was made to 3.5 diskettes then why did you have to put each file on to separate diskettes. How did the

3 files get on the hard drive? >

If the backup file spanned several diskettes, then you have to restore them from diskettes. Putting the files on the hard drive does not work in this case.

I th A) Client backed up to 3.5" diskettes as she does not have a CD-ROM. B) She took those diskettes to a separate computer as her first one is not online C) She then emailed to me each file from each diskette all together, naming them "1backup," "2backup," etc.

I figured out I just had to reverse the process, despite advice against it working. I put each backup file onto a 3.5" diskette, renaming "1backup" to "backup," etc. as all backup files have to be the same.
