weekly payroll check printing

Jun 01, 2009 8 Replies

Hi, everyone,

I'm using QBW Pro 2007, and I have a part-time employee who gets a check every week. To pay her I have to go thru the whole process each time for each check -- selecting the weekly checks from the "start scheduled payroll" window, selecting this one employee, etc.

Is there a way of printing all of her weekly checks at one time?

thanks

Your joking right?

No, I would not take up the group's time that way. I am not joking. What I am asking is, how can I process the month's checks all at one time?

thanks

Well at least you narrowed it down to 4 or 5 checks at once instead of 52 or

You still have to do them one at a time. There is no way to do multiple checks for a single employee.

How are you dealing with hours varying from week to week if you are processing the checks in advance?

Would it be easier to pay the person every 2 weeks or even monthly?

Or quarterly or annually?

Yes, it would be easier to pay this person monthly, but she wants a weekly pay check. She's part-time, if that makes a difference.

The question I'm asking -- is there a way to batch process a month's worth of checks? Or must I do each one individually?

thanks

As I said earlier, you have to process each paycheck individually.

"googleplex" :

Although I agree with the others that it is unusual, you can create multiple checks in advance by post dating, though you still have to process each individually.
