C hange Account Number

Using Quicken Deluxe 2014

I think I asked this here before, but I've forgotten the answer:

I have a credit card that, due to fraudulent charges, was replaced by the bank by a card with a different number. Now when I do One Step Update, Quicken reports that the account no longer exists. Can I change the account number in Quicken, or do I need to delete the old one and add the new one?

Either way, can someone tell me how to do this?

It's getting to be a common problem. See thread "credit card changed numbers"

I just went through the same issue. First you need to edit the account and on the tab for Online Services - deactivate the account. Then change the account number to the new credit card. Next reactivate the account.

I forgot to include in my original post - be careful to select - link to the old account when reactivating.
