Download trancaction window

Hi All, I have upgraded from 2011 to 2014 R6. Everytime I open Quicken, I have the downloaded transactions window open and need to click on done to close it for the register to appear on the full screen. Is there something I can do to change this behavior. I don't remember this happening in 2011. Thanks in advance. Bob

I remember a setting for update upon start that I changed to manual. Not at my home computer right now but look in the options for a setting.

That doesn't really help. In my case, I have Quicken set to download new transactions every morning at 6AM so that I can review them before starting my day. This bug makes a royal PITA.

It's a known Q2014 bug; introduced, I believe in one of the more recent releases (R5 perhaps). You'll have to live with it until Intuit fixes it.

Well, there is one work around, but it will require you to change the way you work with downloaded transactions ... and possibly with reminders as well.

There's a Quicken option to automatically add downloaded transactions to your register. Setting that option removes the Downloaded Transactions tab and the Bill and Income Reminders tab from the account register(s) altogether. See Edit > Preferences > Downloaded transactions.

You can still process downloaded transactions, but you'll have to learn how to deal with them while they're in the register, rather than in the "Accept cleared transactions into register" window. It's not hard, just different. You can "match" transactions or un-match transactions, after they've been added to the register. You need to have the "Status" column displayed to do that.
