Downloading transactions from my bank.

Jul 05, 2005 6 Replies

Starting today when I select the 'Download transactions' button for any of my bank accounts I am getting a screen that has both my bank and Quicken Bill Pay as an option to select. It says 'Update this account using' and has my bank and Quicken Bill Pay as an option. My bank is already checked off. I use Web connect as my bank does not provide direct downloads yet.

The thing is I never got this extra menu before today. I tried to deactivate Quicken Bill Pay in the Overview screen but while it says it deactivated it it still shows as activated. I did use Quicken Bill Pay about 2 years ago so maybe Quicken is trying to get me to use it again :-)

Other then then having to go through an extra screen now, everything seems to be working OK.

I was just wondering if anyone has any other ideas on how to get rid of this extra menu?

Thanks.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. It appears on my ING-Direct account - which is WebConnect. It does not appear on my Local Bank - which is DirectConnect.

From the thread provided by Mike, it appears Quicken boffed an update. Hopefully they'll fix this bug.

It appears that Intuit fixed the problem. I no longer have Quicken Bill Pay tied to my account.

I didn't do anything to fix the problem myself. Perhaps an update came through automatically this morning when I downloaded some bank transactions.

Whatever it was it is now fixed. :-)

FYI..

Just got confirmation from Intuit that this problem has indeed been fixed. It was a bad control file that erroneously tied Bill Pay to some financial institutions. The fix was pushed automatically.

I guess Intuit can fix problems fast. ;-)

And I think they have done so in the past for similar problems.
