I'm using Quicken Deluxe 2014 desktop and am hitting a problem with stock exchanges. A set of stocks was exchanged one-to-one for another set.
- Tyco International Ltd NEW - Tyco INTL LTD CHF
So now Q sees them as different stock names when it downloads and creates 2 placeholders: one indicating too many of one and none of the other. When I enter into either placeholder to try and correct, Quicken won't let me change the equity names in the placeholders.
What is the proper way to handle this and resolve the placeholders?
Or, how do I tell Q they are really the "same" equity?
