Vanguard Download Problem

I use QD2013 and for some reason, not explained, I cannot download transactions from my Vanguard account using one-step update, or accessing via the account in Q. I can access the account outside Q - they now have a two-step logon (won't let me paste in the PW), but can't get the transactions into Quicken. Actually it's only a small problem, but annoying. I just collected my IRA distribution, and the money went to my bank account OK, and the transactions show on the Vanguard account. Manually entering is easy, but I want it to work as it should. I suspect Vanguard has changed something.

Look at the details for the name of the financial institution. IIRC, for a while it was ZVanguard but now it's back to Vanguard. If you have the wrong name, you will have to deactivate and reactivate. Make sure you deactivate all accounts, then reactivate any one with the correct institution name and carefully link each to the correct account.

Vanguard also changed account numbers a recently, so you may need to use your online access to vanguard to match the account numbers when your reactivate to your old accounts.

I just checked and this is what I found- "Effective immediately, your financial institution no longer supports Quicken online account access. This means you will no longer be able to connect to this particular financial institution to download your transactions and balances into Quicken. "

Not sure where that info came from, but it is absolutely false as it pertains to Vanguard the company (as oppose to some specific "financial institution name").

Vanguard did go thru a change which affected downloads to Quicken. All the instructions for handling the change were made available by Vanguard and Intuit. If you did not follow those instructions, you will likely not be able to continue to download from Vanguard.

As part of the change, the Quicken name for the financial institution changed from "Vanguard Group" to "Vanguard".

Also using QD13 I just did OSU to Vanguard and got no indication there was a problem. There are no current transactions (verified with on line access) since 11/28 but OSU summary gives the normal indication that it was just updated.

I'm guess> I just checked and this is what I found-

I am using Q2012 Dlx - and just downloaded my Vanguard - all ok... also - Chase, Fidelity, TRowe are also all ok

As mentioned, awhile ago Vanguard changed servers, and the Financial Institution name briefly changed, and then changed back...after their conversion effort.
