HP has apparently released new printer drivers for some of their printers that will fix at least one print problem experienced by Quicken users.
If you have an HP printer and are having problems printing from Quicken and you use 64 bit Vista, check this HP faq to see if there may be help for you.

P.S. It appears that the fix will apply to more printers than are named in the faq; The way I understand it, if there is a version 12 driver available for your printer model, you probably should get it.
Apparently the list of printers to which the fix applies will be updated at some point.

: HP didn't have a fix for my printer, and besides my brother printer and even my pdf printer were crashing. But I found this nearly innocuous advice here on a vista64 forum:

Click Edit from the menu bar, and choose Preferences > Quicken Program. Go to Register > Notify, and remove the check mark from ?Warn if a check number is re-used? Click OK. Print checks.
Could it be that the crash is due to duplicate check numbers, or some such nonsense. What did I have to lose. It is a 5 second fix.
Guess what? Worked. All of my printers work now. Go figure. I don't even think it was a duplicate check number, just crashed when that box was checked.
Cool!
