I using Q07 deluxe. I have just made several changes to my portfolio by transferring assists from one fund to new funds and now I have several accounts with zero balances. I want to keep the old accounts in quicken for their history. I can't find how to handle these accounts in managing your accounts. If I hide the account in quicken it affects my net worth charts on the home page. If I use hide in navigation the net worth data is OK but the accounts still show up in the investment account activity the home page. Any suggestions....

From what I understand, you have closed out these accounts, selling your mutual funds to cash (money market) positions. You then transferred your cash to another account, leaving a zero balance in the old account(s).
I have chosen to "hide account" as you did, and this did not affect my net worth bar graph. I don't think I have two options to hide an account, but I am using the Macintosh version of Quicken 2007 Deluxe, so perhaps that differs from the PC version.
Sorry I can't hep more. I'm away from home and can't access my file. Best of luck solving your situation.
Are you using "Single Mutual Fund" accounts, where there can only be a singe security EVER in the account?
If so, WHY? Some fund companies require it for download access into Q. There's really not much other reason to do so.
If you're NOT using SMFs, why not just buy the new security in the existing account?

No, I' not using SMFs. I transferred all my shares from the old account to the new account when the account number change to my changing the registration to a Living Trust.
In which case, the SIMPLE process is:
1) disconnect the existing account from download 2) edit the account features as needed 3) re-enable download. The above works if the cost basis of the positions hasn't changed, (i.e., if only the legal ownership changed).
