Issue when downloading into Quicken

Hey gang,

I posted this a while back and did not get any replies, got a little more detail now so thought I would try again.

I download my financial data into Quicken 2010 Deluxe, directly from my bank's website.

One thing I noticed after I upgraded to 2010 version, whenever I would download, it would first download the transactions, and then Quicken would download some sort of financial information. Not sure what gets downloaded during that second process, but it would do it like every third time of downloading into Quicken.

Now however, it has started getting stuck, when it tries to download that second part. It downloads the transactions, and they show up in the downloaded transactions list just fine, then it tries to do that second part, and it gets stuck on " requesting- quicken service". I have to click on " cancel download " to get that screen to go away.

Again, the downloaded transactions are there and I can accept them without issue, the information stays reconciled, but it just keeps hanging on this second part and I am not sure why?

Anyone know, what it is trying to grab and why it is now getting stuck on that part?

Thanks for any assistance, this one has me puzzled.

Maybe that is when Quicken tries to update its "Financial Institution" info. Like a database of which FI can do what, etc. I don't really know ... -- Best regards Han email address is invalid

Yes I believe you are probably right, back when it worked properly, I believe it stated something like " uddating financial institution" when it was going through that second part of the download process.

It sure don't do it now, it just hangs there on that second part.

Thanks,
