My Quicken 2005 problem -scheduled transactions

I have reluctantly upgraded to Q2005 so that I can continue to download my brokerage account transactions.

On Q 2002 I had set up a list of scheduled transactions - such as mortgage payments, retirement checks etc. These transactions are gone on 2005 !! Is there a way to recover them? It took a while to set them up - i.e. putting in the deductions for the retirement checks and getting the interest rate etc. with the mortgage payment.

This irritates me greatly. Q 2002 had all of the features that I need and all that I will ever need. It worked fine and I was familiar with it.

Being able to download my accounts and use the Quicken website are SERVICES - not related to the version of the program.

Why not just charge a nominal fee to use these services?

Did you update Quicken BEFORE you attempted the conversion of your fileset? Q2005 is already at release 3.

If you converted and THEN updated, you might want to try deleting your converted fileset and attempt a re-convert after first ensuring your Q is up to date with R3.

If you need to manually update, go here:

You're asking the question in the wrong place. Ask Intuit. Tell 'em I sent you.

Thanks....

Actually -- I finally figured it out. I had to change the view.

I'm still not happy -- I started using Quicken to make my life easier - which it does most of the time. At this stage in my life I'm not partial to learning or getting use to a new version every year.

I have never had much luck complaining to Intuit. They are not the most customer friendly bunch that I've encountered.

So, as far as you can tell, did Q2005 convert your Q2002 data accurately?

Sorry for the late reply........ I didn't have any reason to return to the subject.

Yes as far as I can tell - all of my data transferred accurately. In fact in most cases I am positive it did, because I have since reconciled or otherwise had reasons to compare with other sources.

My only complaint remains that I had to upgrade in order to continue to get the on-line services. The upgraded program has no new feature that I need or will use. Since the interface and look and feel are quite a bit different, the program is harder NOT easier to use.
