Online Balance

Online balance and auto reconcile has stopped updating in Quicken 2005. Internet connection is fine to my bank. Is there any way I can fix this ?

Have you tried making a new dataset in Quicken (new file, not new account)? It is possible that something in your on-line setup has become corrupted. If you can make a new file and it works from there, you need to disable all on-line activities for that particular account in your old data set, then close Quicken, re-open it and re-enable online access.

This all assumes that your bank hasn't done anything stupid, like fogetting to pay Intuit. Is it still listed as available for downloading in the FI list?

Seems the problem was clearing out the internet temporary files. After doing that downloading transactions began working again. I searched Google and found some other's w/same problem. Also, using the FireFox browser worked.

Interesting, I had this problem with saving .gif files once and found the same solution was to clean the temp internet files.
