OSU Problenms

I'm using the latest version of Quicken Premier under the latest version of 64-bit Windows 11 pro.

Having done One Step Updates for the last few day, four accounts (BofA Checking Account, Citi Master Card, Amazon Chase Visa, and Wells Fargo Visa show the red flag indicating downloaded transaction, but no downloaded transactions are listed for them.

I've gone to the web sites for all four and updated the Quicken accounts manually, but the red flags are still there.

What's wrong? Why is the flag there but no downloaded transactions?

I've gone to Accounts/Edit for all four and looked at Online Services. This is what I see

BofA Checking Account Express Web Connect + Citi Master Card Direct Connect Amazon Chase Visa Express Web Connect + Wells Fargo Express Web Connect

I've also gone to the Password Vault to check on the passwords there.

I can't find Amazon Chase Visa there

Under "Password Stored," Wells Fargo and BofA say a password is Not Required

Under "Password Stored," Citibank MC says "Yes."

Also whenever I do an OSU, Wells Fargo gets the CC 596 error "Quicken is unable to update your account." If I try again it sometime completes without an error, but still with no downloaded transactions shown.

I've only seen this no downloaded transactions shown error on these four accounts, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the same error on other accounts if they had any activity.

An update to everything below:

I thought I was running the latest QW version, but I wasn't. I just downloaded and installed 46.12, reran OSU, and all seems well now.

I thought Citi Card had switched to Express Web Connect +.

Passwords for EWC and EWC+ downloads are not stored in the Password Vault.

I can't find any such error number in the Quicken knowledge base; are you sure that is the correct number?

I've reported on this problem a couple of times recently.

There appears to be a bug in the download process for all Express Web Connect (EWC) accounts and all Express Web Connect + (EWC+) accounts. I see the bug in R43.26 (my current Release) and some later releases (Releases I test with).

The red flag in the Account Bar indicates that transactions were downloaded; but no transactions appear in the Downloaded Transaction tab (for accounts not set to have downloaded transactions Auto-added to registers), or already added to the account (for accounts set to have downloaded transactions Auto-added to registers).

I only see the problem for EWC and EWC+ downloads. All my R43.26 Direct Connect downloads work fine.

I just tested in R46.12 and I agree, the problem appears to be fixed.

Maybe they have but it's set for Direct Connect here, and it's now working.

Where are they, then?

Sorry, typo. It should have been 506.

Sorry, I often gloss over problems that aren't affecting me.

Thanks, but the problem appears to be fixed now.

Direct Connect appears to be a workaround for a long running Citi problem, I think at some point you should expect to have to switch to EWC+

I just tried to change it, but it was unsuccessful. It's still Direct Connect.

It created a new Citibank account for me with a lot of old transactions, up to 2009, and also downloaded a lot of transactions. I deleted that account.

The old account with Direct Connect seems to still be OK, so unless you recommend something else I should do, I'll leave it as it is.

My Citi Costco Visa and Rewards Mastercard both remain Direct Connect for the time being.
