Community Discussion: Add Icon beside account name (in each transaction window) to launch bank website

The Discussion title tells it all.

But the original poster does not seem to have done sufficient research to determine what features Quicken already offers.

In the Edit Account Details dialog for each Quicken account are three fields to hold URL's, labelled: Home page, Activity page and Other page. Each of those fields has a button on its right labelled "Go": when the URL field contains a valid URL, Quicken will display that URL in a browser window when the user clicks "Go".

There is also an option in the register Actions drop down to "Visit financial institution home page": that option does basically what the "Go" button does, but it can be added to the register Action Bar, which eliminates one-click over the "Go" button option for the financial institution Home page.

SuperUser UKR points out that there is already a built in Quicken feature to initiate a Web Connect download with pretty much one-click from the account register in question. In the register Actions drop down is an option to "Import transactions from bank website" (which can be added to the register Action bar).

[Logically, the "Visit financial institution home page" option and the "Import transactions from the bank website" option are only available for non-investment accounts activated for downloading. To my knowledge, the "Go" buttons are available for every Quicken account.]

Which approach provides the most meaningful benefit may be a subjective decision for each user to make.
