Prices disappeared

All the Prices have disappeared for a mutual fund that I have, both current and historical. There has not been a symbol change, and I happened in two account (same fund). There is a small clock symbol on the "Price" field in Portfolio View, and when I hover over that it says "never updated". There is no long any Price History for the Fund. I have owned the fund since 2004 with no issues. In case it means anythink the Fund is American Funds Fundamental Investors Class A, ANCFX.

Tyler,

I just updated my investments, including ANCFX without any problem. All data appears through yesterday's activity.

I suggest that you try updating again, and posting back your results.

Have been updating for a week or two on this. I agree it must be something I have done, but am a long time Q user so know most of the places to look. On "one Step Update" ANCFX" is checked and the "hide " box is not. All the dividend repurchases are still in the folios and show prices for the purchases. I am at a loss where look next.

Thanks for letting me know it is updating Ok for you

Another interesting item that might help: There are no prices in the Price History for the fund. If I try to manually add one, I fill out the form, but it does not add it to the blank list.

OK Got it. Change symbol, Delete history, change symbol back to original.

Tyler,

I don't understand why that worked except somehow you data file got corrupted. Glad that you got it fixed.

Yes, the problem is a corrupted price history for the security in question. It's a fairly well known problem, and it has been largely fixed in Q2012 and later versions.

I ran into the same problem myself with the price history of a mutual fund, while using Q2011. Thanks for posting your solution - it saved me some time.

Darn, didn't work for me in Q2011. All three of my PH&N mutual fund quotes suddenly disappeared. I've tried Tyler's fix and the quotes just won't come back. Perhaps a problem at Quicken end?
