Q2005 Deluxe Makes Math Error

I've been using Quicken since version 6 for DOS was released and have never seen a math error in my register until yesterday. I entered a check for a couple thousand dollars, categorized as an expense, and the register showed a total of a little over $100 **ADDED** to my balance! I couldn't believe it. I re-examined the transaction and could not see anything that would cause this. Then, after I added a duplicate transaction which was correctly subtracted from my register, I deleted the bad transaction.

I totally depend on Quicken for all my finances and am rather disturbed at such an error. I caught this one because it was a matter of a couple thousand dollars, but if there are other errors somewhere that I didn't catch it'll really screw me up.

Are there any known bugs I may have missed hearing about?

It's very unlikely that it was the Quicken bug. Especially, as "a duplicate transaction ..was correctly subtracted". Is it possible that the decimal point/comma has been mistyped?

Sure it's possible but not likely. I re-read the entry repeatedly looking for an error and saw none. And additionally, the entry was in the Debit column, not the Credit column. Even if I had the decimal point in the wrong place the amount would have been subtracted. I had an amount added, i.e., my balance showed a higher amount after the transaction.
