QD2008 downloaded transactions

Can anyone tell me in what oeder Quicken Deluxe 2008 downloads and enters transactions into the register ? Specifically, if the bank has TX's in a certain order, does QD 2008 maintain that order?

What I'm trying to determine is if my bank has charged me a fee for my account dropping below a certain balance. Fifth Third (5/3) Bank in southwest Ohio has been hit with a settlement to refund certain charges that may have been eneterd out or order. For example, one goes to an ATM, deposits their paychecj, then withdraws some cash. What 5/3 was doing was to enter the withdrawal BEFORE the deposit, therefore resulting in a fee. I was hit when my account dropped below the account minimum because they processed some debit card charges before they added a direct deposit. The direct deposit was a SS check which is deposited in the bank so funds are available on the 3rd of the month. I don't believe they entered the deposit before the debit card charges, so I am checking my QD 2008 register to see what order they were entered into Quicken, and thus the question.

Anyone know ?

The order that Quicken downloads transactions has nothing to do with the order that your bank posts them. You need to go by what your your bank statement says as well as the disclosure for your account.

The Direct Deposit would generally be handled differently than your ATM example. For the ATM deposit the bank will always put a hold on the deposit to verify the amount of the deposit and then to give it time to clear. That in the reason for the difference in the Total balance the bank nhows and the Available balance. The hold times got shorter a few fears ago with the conversion to electronic check processing. I think you'll have to check with your bank to see what their policy is for holds on direct deposits.
